why transition from marketing to design?
i have always had a love for art and a sense of artistry growing up. from painting with watercolors and acrylic, to experimenting with makeup and fashion styles, to decorating my animal crossing town — i have loved blending my personal style and creativity into the world around me.
social media marketing challenged me to balance my ideas with a company's existing content, much like a product designer working within a company's design system. i felt a strong desire to turn feedback i received from the community on social media into tangible changes for the products i was marketing, which led me to product design. as a designer, i am able to directly work on the development and growth of products by being a voice for the community's needs while maintaining business goals.
